Clarksburg Man Arrested for Recording Women in Store Dressing Rooms; Additional Victims a Concern

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, February 18, 2026

Gaithersburg, MD – 19-year-old Fabio Delrio of Clarksburg has been arrested after allegedly recording women with his cell phone while they were changing in dressing rooms at a Banana Republic store in the 22000 block of Clarksburg Road. Officers are concerned that there may be additional victims who shopped at the store from May 2025 to August 2025 and are asking them to come forward.

The investigation revealed that on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., Delrio, who was employed at the store at the time, recorded a female while she was trying on clothes in a dressing room. The victim noticed the lens of a cell phone inside the dressing room and later reported the incident to police.

On Sunday, May 18, at approximately 5:33 p.m., Delrio used his cell phone to record another female victim inside a dressing room of the store. The victim called the police after realizing that she might have been recorded.

On Saturday, August 9, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a third female victim was undressed in a dressing room of the store when she observed a cell phone camera pointing in her direction under the door. She covered herself and, upon exiting the room, saw Delrio standing outside. The victim immediately called 9-1-1.

5th District officers responded to the store. After reviewing surveillance footage of the store and speaking with the victim and the store manager, officers identified Delrio as the suspect.

Delrio’s cell phone was confiscated, pending further investigation.

An officer obtained a search warrant for Delrio’s cell phone and recovered photos of the three victims inside the dressing rooms as well as photos of numerous unidentified female victims. The officer identified a fourth female victim from the unidentified photos and determined that on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Delrio took photos of her while she was walking around the store and when she was changing inside a dressing room.

The officer obtained an arrest warrant against Delrio, charging him with four counts of peeping tom, four counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent in a private area, and other related charges.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Delrio was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He has been released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.

The officer handling this investigation is asking anyone who shopped at the Banana Republic store in the 22000 block of Clarksburg Road from May 2025 to August 2025 and may have been a victim of Fabio Delrio to call the 4th District Investigative Section at (240) 773-5530 or to visit the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, MD website at www.crimesolversmcmd.org and click on the “www.p3tips.com” link at the top of the page or call 1-866-411-8477.
