Gaithersburg, MD -Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in the area of Glenbrook Road and Audubon Road. The collision resulted in the death of 68-year-old Khanh Truong Nguyen of Bethesda.
At approximately 12:05 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area for the report of a single vehicle collision.
The investigation has revealed that a white 2022 Toyota Venza was traveling southbound on Glenbrook Road when the vehicle failed to negotiate the turn and left the roadway, striking a pole and a large tree. The driver, Khanh Truong Nguyen was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
A 65-year-old female passenger was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
