Two Adult Males and One Adult Female Charged with Veirs Mill Road Carjacking

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested 26-year-old Lascelles Alonzo Greenwood of Silver Spring, 27-year-old Alei Imani Cook of an unknown address and 35-year-old Dewayne Davis of an unknown address, following a carjacking that occurred on Monday, September 2, 2024, in the 12100 block of Veirs Mill Road.
At approximately 4:33 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of a carjacking.
The investigation has revealed that an adult male victim picked up Cook at a gas station in the 12200 block of Veirs Mill Road and parked his Honda Civic in the 12100 block of Veirs Mill Road. Shortly after, Greenwood and Davis approached the Honda and threatened the victim with a knife. The victim was then pulled from the Honda, and the suspects drove away in the Honda.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Greenwood, Cook and Davis as the suspects.
On Thursday, September 5, detectives arrested Cook and Greenwood near Veirs Mill Road and Randolph Road.
On Wednesday, September 11, detectives apprehended Davis and took him into custody in the area of Veirs Mill Road and Randolph Road.
Greenwood, Cook and Davis were transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where Greenwood and Davis were charged with armed carjacking and related charges. Cook was charged with conspiracy to commit carjacking and theft. Greenwood and Davis are being held without bond. Cook is being held a $10,000 unsecured personal bond.
