Wheaton–Kensington Restaurant Week Set for May 11–17 – Mocofeed

Posted on May 11, 2026

Diners Invited to Support Local Businesses and Experience Global Cuisine

Montgomery County will celebrate the return of Wheaton-Kensington Restaurant Week from Monday, May 11, through Sunday, May 17, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to support local businesses and experience the area’s diverse dining scene.

Wheaton–Kensington Restaurant Week brings together the region’s most vibrant restaurants and communities for a week of food, culture, and connection—driving support for local businesses and celebrating the diversity that defines the area.

The weeklong event highlights independently owned restaurants in Wheaton and Kensington, and it will feature special menus and promotions showcasing a wide range of global cuisines. Restaurant Week is designed to increase visibility for small businesses and encourage community members to dine locally.

“Small independent restaurants are a big part of what make Montgomery County special,” said Mongomery County Executive Marc Elrich. “They reflect who we are as a community, with diversity, entrepreneurship, and strong connections. Events like Wheaton-Kensington Restaurant Week help bring people through the door and remind us that supporting local businesses is something we can all do in a very direct way.”

Residents are encouraged to explore new restaurants, revisit local favorites, and share their experiences throughout the week.

“This is where culture and community come alive,” said County Council President Natali Fani-González. “Restaurant Week invites everyone to show up, explore something new, and directly support the small businesses that power our local economy. When you dine here, you’re investing in our community.”

Organizers encourage residents, families, and visitors from across the region to make plans to participate. Each visit contributes to local economic activity and helps strengthen community connections.

To make the most of Restaurant Week, participants are encouraged to:
