The following is a brief summary of events regarding an incident that occurred on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Glen Haven Elementary School.
At approximately 11:34 a.m., Montgomery County police officers responded to the school for the report of a former employee who was trespassing inside the building. While officers were en route, they learned that the individual had allegedly assaulted school staff, and the school was placed in lockdown.
Responding officers located 27-year-old Nadine Akoko Sefako Dogbo outside the school building. She ran off when officers arrived.
Following a brief foot pursuit, she was taken into custody without further incident.
Once Dogbo was in custody, the school transitioned from a lockdown to a secure status until the incident was stabilized.
Dogbo, who is from Gaithersburg, was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged with trespassing, two counts of second-degree assault and additional charges related to disrupting the educational process, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
