Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection to Host 11th Annual Energy Summit on Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16 – MocoFeed

The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host the 11th Annual Energy Summit on Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16, at the Silver Spring Civic Building. The Energy Summit will focus on preparing the commercial building community for compliance with energy benchmarking, building energy performance standards and emerging building codes.

The Silver Spring Civic Building is located at 1 Veterans Place in Downtown Silver Spring. The event is open to media.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Maryland Secretary of the Environment Serena C. McIlwain will join DEP Director Jon Monger at 9 a.m. on April 16 to address summit attendees. The County Executive, Secretary McIlwain and Director Monger will be available for interviews from 10-10:30 a.m.

At the summit, Pepco will offer building energy audit demonstrations and cutting-edge environmental solutions will be showcased in the Innovation Alley exhibit hall. WorkSource Montgomery’s Mobile American Job Center will be on site to connect employers to jobseekers.
