Detectives Investigate Crabbs Branch Way Fatality; Victim’s Identity Released

Gaithersburg, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2026. The collision resulted in the death of 52-year-old Sukhbir Singh of Gaithersburg.

At approximately 1:41 p.m., 1st District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of Crabbs Branch Way and Moccasin Lane for the report of a single-vehicle collision.

The investigation has revealed that a white 2021 Toyota Avalon was traveling south on Crabbs Branch Way when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the roadway and struck a tree.Â

Upon arrival, an adult male driver, later identified as Singh, was located and transported to an area hospital, where he died on the morning of Monday, April 6.
