The Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded.

To resolve the situation peacefully, negotiators attempted to speak for hours with Abraha, who was alone inside the residence and refused to comply with officers’ requests to speak with them and their commands to leave the house.

After an extended period of attempting negotiations, officers assigned to the SWAT team entered the residence and took Abraha into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m.

He is charged with first-degree assault and malicious destruction of property. Additional charges are pending.
