Collision Reconstruction Unit Investigating Beallsville Road Fatal Single Vehicle Collision

For Immediate Release: Friday, July 21, 2023

Gaithersburg, MD – A woman has died following a traffic collision that occurred on Thursday, July 20, 2023.

At approximately 9:31 p.m., 1 st District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the collision in the 18900 block of Beallsville Rd.

The preliminary investigation by Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) detectives has revealed that the driver, and sole occupant, of a black 2002 Hyundai Elantra, was traveling southbound on Beallsville Rd., prior to Jerusalem Rd., when for reasons still under investigation, she left the roadway and struck a tree. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The name of the decedent will be released following proper notification of next of kin.
