Sixteen-Year-Old Charged as Adult Following Clarksburg Armed Robbery

Gaithersburg, MD– The Montgomery County Department of Police arrested a suspect following an armed robbery and stabbing that occurred on Monday, August 25, 2025 in the 22700 Block of Clarksburg Road. 

At approximately 8:50 p.m., 5th District officers responded for the report of a stabbing. The investigation revealed that two teenaged males were walking when an unidentified male suspect approached from behind and attempted to forcibly take one of the victim’s property. The victim and his friend fought back, at which time the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before running from the scene 

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second teen was not injured. 

A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of drone operators. A short time later, officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest without incident. The suspect was identified as 16-year-old Alexis Alfaro from Silver Spring. Alfaro was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
