Police Ask for Assistance in Locating Suspect and Accomplice in Bethesda Store Thefts

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol Investigations Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 24-year-old Tyrone Harrington, of Washington, D.C., who is wanted for allegedly committing a series of thefts at area businesses. Detectives are also attempting to identify one of his accomplices.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Harrington as one of the suspects who stole large amounts of property from CVS Pharmacy, Gap and Target stores in Bethesda between August and December of 2024. Detectives also determined that Harrington continues to commit thefts in neighboring jurisdictions.
In February 2025, detectives obtained an arrest warrant against Harrington, charging him with multiple counts of thefts and related charges.
Detectives are also attempting to identify one of Harrington’s accomplices who is described as a Black female, with red hair, heavy set, in her late teens or early twenties.
