County Executive Marc Elrich to Unveil New Resiliency Hub Powered by Renewable Energy Microgrids at Animal Shelter and Adoption Center

County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by Jose Lorenzo Lista, CEO of GreenStruxure, to cut the ribbon on the County’s second resiliency hub that will be powered by renewable energy microgrids at the County’s Animal Shelter on Tuesday, June 13 at 11 a.m., 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd.
In November 2022, a plane was caught in electrical wires for several hours in Montgomery County, and it was the microgrids at the Animal Shelter and Adoption Center that made it possible for the facility to remain open. This event will be the official announcement of the microgrids and reinforce how essential they are to enable the shelter to remain operational during a power outage.
