The preliminary investigation has revealed that a silver 2025 Toyota GR86 was traveling west on Randolph Road when it struck a red 2011 Toyota 4-Runner that was turning left from eastbound Randolph Road onto Sherwood Forest Drive. The impact caused the 4-Runner to roll over and strike a black 2025 Buick Envista.

Gieske, a passenger in the 4-Runner, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. On Friday, August 22, 2025, she died because of her injuries.
