Rep. Jamie Raskin, Rep. April McClain Delaney, Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller and County Council President Natali Fani-González will join County Executive Marc Elrich, members of the County Council, state elected officials, and County leaders at the 51st Annual Public Safety Awards breakfast. The ceremony is co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County Government. Senior officials from the County’s public safety agencies will also participate to recognize members for acts of valor over the past year.

The names of the award recipients, including those receiving the Valor Awards, and details of the incidents being recognized will be announced during the event. The Public Safety Awards Breakfast is the largest event of its kind in the region. Honorees were nominated and selected by the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, the Department of Police, the Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland-National Capital Park Police—Montgomery County Division, the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
