Detectives Investigate North Horners Lane Fatal Collision; Victim’s Identity Released – Mocofeed

Gaithersburg, MD– Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police, Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision involving a Ride On bus that claimed the life of 67-year-old Danny Cornell Jackson of Rockville. 

 

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers from the 1st District and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to the area of North Horners Lane and McArthur Drive after receiving a report from the Ride On bus driver of a man lying in the roadway.

 

Upon arrival, first responders located Jackson, who had been struck while riding his bicycle and was suffering from serious injuries.

 

The preliminary investigation determined that Jackson was traveling southbound on North Horners Lane toward McArthur Drive when he was struck by the Ride On bus.

 

Jackson was transported to an area hospital where on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Jackson died as a result of the injuries sustained in the collision.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
