Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6.
As we acknowledge and celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, County Executive Elrich will be joined by SEIU Local 500 President Pia Morrison to discuss the support staff professionals who help MCPS operate for teachers, students, and their families. He’ll discuss collaborating with Maryland Gov. Wes Moore on some key economic development opportunities and transportation items this week and highlight the impact of adding the nation’s largest microgrid for a transit operations center, announced last week.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’connor@montgomerycountymd.gov on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
You can view the media briefing live on the County’s Facebook page and YouTube page. Provided there are no conflicts, you can also watch the briefing on County Cable Montgomery.
