Detectives Investigate Gaithersburg Fatal Pedestrian Collision; Victim’s Identity Released – Mocofeed

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on Thursday, September 17, 2026, in Gaithersburg. The decedent has been identified as 34-year-old Jow Dodou of Germantown.

 

At approximately 3:41 a.m., 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the area of Route 355 and Christopher Avenue for the report of a pedestrian struck.

 

The preliminary investigation has revealed that Dodou was crossing Route 355, near Christopher Avenue when he was struck by a brown 2020 Infiniti QX60 traveling in the southbound lanes.

 

 Upon arrival, responders located Dodou suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to an area hospital, where he subsequently died of his injuries.

 

The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
