Weekly Media Briefing with Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, to Focus on Maryland Corps/ Service Year Option

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing starting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15.
This week the County Executive will welcome Maryland Secretary of Service and Civic Innovation Paul Monteiro, Jr. to discuss the Maryland Corps/ Service Year Option. This program that pays recent high school graduates to serve their community is expanding and looking for more participants and hosts in Montgomery County and across the State.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 11 a.m. on Feb. 15. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County’s Facebook page and County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
