Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing starting at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 14.
This week Keith Miller, CEO of the Montgomery County Revenue Authority, and Dr. Joseph Fiola, a viticulture specialist with the University of Maryland Extension, will join the County Executive to discuss The Crossvines. On Monday, a grand opening was held for the new winery, bistro, special events venue and customized crush pad to help convert grapes grown by Montgomery County farmers into wine. The Crossvines opens to the public July 8.
Acting Director of Health and Human Services Dr. James Bridgers, Chief Health Officer Dr. Kisha Davis, and others will also join the County Executive to discuss the latest COVID-19 news and other government matters.
The weekly media briefing offers reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 10 a.m. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
