Transportation Holiday Schedule for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday, Thursday, Nov. 28

For Immediate Release: Thursday, November 21, 2024

Below are Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s (MCDOT) and partners’ transportation-related schedule changes for the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday, Nov. 28.

  • MCDOT offices – Closed.
  • Ride On bus service – Will operate on a Sunday schedule. View route schedules here .
  • Ride On extRa Pink and extRa Lime bus service – Will operate on a Sunday schedule.
  • Ride On Flash bus service – The Orange Route will operate on a Weekend/Holiday The Blue Route (typically, weekday only) will not be in service.
  • Ride On extRa (Route 101) and Flex bus service – Will not be in service.
  • TRiPS Silver Spring commuter store – Will be closed.
  • TRiPS mobile commuter store – Will be closed.
  • MARC Train – No service on all three lines. View more details at mta.maryland.gov/marc-holiday-service . On Friday, Nov. 29 the Penn Line will operate on a Saturday schedule and there will be no service on the Brunswick and Camden lines.
  • Metrorail and Metrobus – Metrorail will operate on a “Reduced Sunday Service” with trains running from 7 a.m. to midnight. Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule. On Friday, Nov. 29 Metro will operate on a regular schedule. View timetables at wmata.com/schedules/timetables .
  • Public parking garages, lots, curbside meters – Free on Thursday, Nov. 28, payment resumes Friday, Nov. 29.
