Traffic Stop Results in Drug and Gun Seizure

Gaithersburg, MD – 29-year-old D’Andre Michael Wiggins, of Germantown, has been arrested and charged with drug and handgun-related offenses following a traffic stop conducted by the Montgomery County Department of Police 6th District Community Action Team on Monday, March 9, 2026.

At approximately 7 p.m., officers were conducting proactive enforcement in the area of Lost Knife Circle when they observed suspicious activity involving a vehicle and its occupant parked near a business.

Officers later observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop in the 17500 block of Towncrest Drive.

During the stop, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered crack cocaine, oxycodone, along with other controlled dangerous substances and a firearm.

Wiggins was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with drug and handgun-related offenses and is being held without bond.
