Summary of Events: Carrington Hill Drive Homicide

For Immediate Release: Thursday, April 9, 2026

The following is a brief summary of events regarding a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the 12000 block of Carrington Hill Drive.

At approximately 5:55 a.m., 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were dispatched to the location for the report of a shooting.

 

The victim was located by officers inside his residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.

The Major Crimes Division, Homicide Unit is investigating.

 

At this time, there is no suspect information available, and no one is in custody.

 

A news release will be distributed when more information becomes available, including the name of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.
