On Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Ramsey Avenue for the report of an assault in progress, involving more than 20 juveniles.

The investigation has revealed that a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were approached by a group of male suspects. The suspects robbed and assaulted the two teens. One of the teens brandished a knife and stabbed two of the male suspects. A third suspect, the 16-year-old from Washington, D.C., was with the suspects who initially robbed the teens and displayed a gun during the assault.

Officers arrived on scene and located the two suspects suffering from stab wounds and a third victim who sustained injuries during the fight. The two teens who were stabbed were transported to an area hospital, one in serious condition and the second with minor injuries. The third victim elected not to receive medical treatment.

Officers quickly located and arrested the 16-year-old who displayed the gun during the assault. He was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he has been charged with robbery and firearm related charges.
