Sixteen-Year-Old Arrested with More Than 400 Fentanyl Pills

Gaithersburg, MD – A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell following an investigation.
On Friday, November 1, 2024, officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Special Assignment Team were in the Glenmont area conducting an investigation when they observed two individuals buying and selling drugs on Georgian Wood Place. The buyer, an 18-year-old from Riverdale and 16-year-old seller were detained without incident.
During a search, the 18-year-old was determined to be in possession of 13, “M30” suspected fentanyl pills. The juvenile seller was determined to be in possession of 432 “M30” suspected fentanyl pills, packaging materials and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The 16-year-old dealer was transported to the 4th District Station and referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for appropriate charges, prior to being released to their guardian.
The 18-year-old was transported to the 4th District Station and charged accordingly.
