Gaithersburg, MD – 3rd District officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police have arrested 38-year-old Larry Goisse of Silver Spring for installing hidden cameras inside of an Airbnb bedroom that was rented by two guests on Friday, August 5, 2022. Detectives are urging anyone who may be a victim of this crime to come forward.
The investigation has revealed that a couple from Texas rented an Airbnb bedroom inside a residence in the 1100 block of Dale Drive in Silver Spring. After arriving at the location, the couple located hidden cameras inside smoke detectors in the bedroom and bathroom.
The couple left the house and drove to the Target store on Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring, where they reported the incident to the police.
Officers responded to the location and spoke with the homeowner who denied having any knowledge about the hidden cameras and allowed officers to search his residence. The homeowner informed officers that his twin brother, later identified as Larry Goisse, lived at the residence as well as a male who was renting a room in the house. The male renter allowed officers to search his room where another hidden camera was located inside a smoke detector.
Officers then talked with Goisse who denied officers access to his bedroom.
A search and seizure warrant was then obtained and executed at the residence, including inside Goisse’s bedroom, where drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and items of evidentiary value connecting Goisse to the crimes were recovered.
On Thursday, February 2, 2023, an arrest warrant was issued for Larry Goisse, charging him with peeping tom, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal installation of visual surveillance in private areas.
On Thursday, August 17, 2023, Montgomery County officers picked up Goisse from a New Jersey correctional facility and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
