Montgomery County Department of Transportation Ride On Service Advisory: Overnight Wayne Avenue Closures (May 30 – June 6)
Starting late on Saturday, May 30, through Saturday morning, June 6, overnight construction for the Purple Line will cause temporary road closures and bus service disruptions.
Closure Schedule & Locations
- Time: 10 p.m. – 4 a.m. each night.
- Wayne Avenue: Closed in both directions between Dale Drive and Sligo Creek Parkway.
- Reason: Crews are safely installing overhead wires on Wayne Avenue.

- Pedestrians: Access through the work zone will remain open. Please follow all posted detour signs and worker instructions.
- Bus Riders: The following Ride On bus stops will not be served during these overnight hours:
