Ride On Bus Route 15 Detour Due to Purple Line Construction in Silver Spring Beginning Friday, April 18
For Immediate Release: Monday, April 21, 2025
Starting Friday, April 18, Ride On Bus Route 15 will be detoured in both directions due to Purple Line construction on Manchester Road between Wayne Avenue and Piney Branch Road will be closed. Details of the detour can be found below. It is unknown at this time when the detour will be lifted.
Note: Dashed lines represent original routes and solid lines represent detours.
To Takoma Langley Transit Center :
Continue on Wayne Avenue, right on Flower Avenue, left on Piney Branch Road, and back on route. Stops 23828 (Manchester Road & Wayne Avenue), 23830 (Manchester Road & Reading Road), and 24902 (Piney Branch Road & Manchester Road) will be bypassed. Use stops 27074 (E Wayne Avenue & Manchester Road) or 24904 (Piney Branch Road & Flower Avenue) to access Manchester Road.
To Silver Spring Transit Center:
From Piney Branch Road, right on Flower Avenue, left on to E Wayne Avenue, continue on E Wayne Avenue, and back on route. Stops 24938 (Piney Branch Road & Flower Avenue), 24940 (Piney Branch Road & Manchester Road), 23812 (Manchester Road & Bradford Road), and 23814 (Manchester Road & Wayne Avenue) will be bypassed. Use stops 24936 (Piney Branch Road & Greenwood Avenue) or 27086 (E Wayne Avenue & Sligo Creek Parkway) to access Manchester Road.
