Potomac Man Arrested for Grandmother’s Death
For Immediate Release: Monday, March 31, 2025
Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged 27-year-old Spencer Dillon Hamilton of Potomac with the murder of his grandmother, 87-year-old Pauline Yvonne Titus-Dillon of Potomac.
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, at approximately 8:08 a.m., officers from the 1st District and Fire Rescue personnel responded to the 12600 block of Tribunal Lane after Hamilton walked into the Rockville City Police Station and reported killing a family member.
Upon arrival, officers located Titus-Dillon unresponsive in the bathroom. Despite lifesaving efforts by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene and identified Hamilton as the suspect.
The decedent has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy is scheduled for Monday, March 31, to officially determine the cause and manner of death.
Detectives arrested Hamilton at the Rockville City Police Station and charged him with first-degree murder.
He was transported to the Central Processing Unit, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
