Gaithersburg, MD – Officers from the 2nd District Patrol Services Bureau are investigating a theft at the LensCrafters store in the 900 block of Rose Ave. Officers have released surveillance video of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them.
On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the location for the report of the theft.

Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the suspect entered the store and stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise, totaling over $10,000, before leaving the scene.
Officers obtained surveillance video of the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches, to 6-feet tall, wearing a black Nike baseball cap, black t-shirt with a red logo on the left chest, black sweatpants and black and white sneakers.
