Gaithersburg, MD – Multiple Crime Solvers tips helped Montgomery County Department of Police detectives identify and arrest 34-year-old Gabriel Oscar Shandler of Rockville, who was wanted in connection with burglary and thefts at a County Liquor Store in Bethesda.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, a suspect entered the liquor store in the 400 block of Hampden Lane and stole a bottle of liquor. On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the store was burglarized. The suspect allegedly used a rock to break the front door glass and took items from inside.

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, the suspect returned and attempted to break the glass but left the location when he wasn’t able to get into the store.

A photo of the suspect was obtained during the investigation. On February 27, 2025, the Montgomery County Department of Police – Media and Public Information Office distributed a news release with the photo and details of the investigation. Within one hour of the release, Crime Solvers received three separate tips identifying Shandler as the suspect.

Shandler was arrested Thursday, April 3 and later released on a $10,000 secured bond.
