Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County leaders questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30. Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno will be filling in for County Executive Marc Elrich, who is not available.
Mr. Madaleno is scheduled to have Montgomery County Police Department Assistant Chief David McBain as his guest to talk about safety around New Year’s Eve and other public safety efforts. He’ll also discuss the new bag law that takes effect on Jan. 1 and highlight some of the ways the County is helping residents save money in the new year.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’connor@montgomerycountymd. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
