Montgomery County’s Point-in-Time Homeless Count Rescheduled to Wednesday, Feb. 4 Due to Last Week’s Storm – Mocofeed

Posted on February 3, 2026

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, February 3, 2026

Montgomery County’s annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count, originally scheduled for January 28, has been rescheduled to Wednesday night, Feb. 4. The count will take place in the overnight hours of Wednesday night. Volunteer orientation begins at 8:30 p.m. at locations in Silver Spring and Gaithersburg.

The PIT count is a critical effort to identify unsheltered individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This data helps the County direct essential resources and services to those in need and ensures the County remains eligible for federal funding.
