Montgomery County’s Farm Tour and Harvest Sale Returns July 26–27 with 27 Farms Offering Fresh Produce and Outdoor Fun – MocoFeed

Posted on July 11, 2025

For Immediate Release: Friday, July 11, 2025

Montgomery County’s 2025 Annual Farm Tour and Harvest Sale returns Saturday and Sunday, July 26–27, with 27 participating farms, orchards, breweries and wineries opening their gates to the public. This self-guided tour offers residents and visitors the opportunity to shop local, learn about Montgomery County’s rich agricultural heritage and support the local farming economy through the Buy Local Challenge. View the full farm listings, operating hours and descriptions here .

The 2025 Farm Tour is part of Montgomery County’s broader effort to promote sustainable agriculture and educate the public about the County’s 93,000-acre Agricultural Reserve, which comprises nearly one-third of the County’s total land area. Home to 558 farms and 350 horticultural enterprises, agriculture contributes $282 million to the County’s economy annually.

“This event is a great reminder that Montgomery County is home to one of the most productive agricultural reserves in the country,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “The Farm Tour and Harvest Sale give people a chance to connect directly with our local farmers, support sustainable agriculture and experience the beauty and value of our rural communities. These farms are a vital part of our economy and our identity, and I encourage everyone to get out, enjoy the land and buy local.”
