This week Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich is in Vietnam on an economic mission. Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno will take his place, delivering the weekly update and answering media questions during this week’s virtual media briefing happening Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 12:30 p.m.
He will be joined by Assistant Chief of Staff for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Theresa “Terri” Lavoie. Referred to as the Nation’s Medical Center, Walter Reed is designed for active military, veterans and military families to provide emergency and continuing care. It has had a presence here in Montgomery County since 1940 when the cornerstone of the hospital was laid by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It is a flagship institution for our nation’s military and an important part of Bethesda and Montgomery County.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 10:30 a.m. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
