These events are organized by the County’s Public Health Services, part of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), in collaboration with Adventist Healthcare, Holy Cross Health, MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and Suburban Hospital—a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Last year’s community meetings helped identify key challenges facing County residents, including access to comprehensive health care, community services and healthier lifestyle options. This year, residents will help shape the strategies to address those challenges and improve health outcomes across the County. Community feedback will inform collaborative planning among healthcare providers and local organizations.

“If we want to improve health outcomes in Montgomery County, the first step is to listen and understand the challenges we face,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “These meetings are a chance for residents to tell us what’s working, what’s not, and what we need to do better, whether that’s expanding care, fixing barriers or investing in prevention. We’ve made health equity a core part of how we govern, and that means putting community voices at the center of decision-making.”

Registration is required and will remain open until the start of each meeting.
