Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by County Council President Natali Fani-González, Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) Director Chris Conklin, Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Luke Hodgson and other County leaders to update the media on critical preparation efforts and safety tips for the upcoming winter storm. That storm is forecasted to be the most severe our region has seen in a decade.Â
The event will provide the media and the public with information on how the County is preparing to clear roads and ensure resident safety. Following the briefing, officials and media are invited to a tour of the salt domes and the staging area for snow trucks, where there will be opportunities to meet with the MCDOT staff and drivers tasked with working the storm.Â
