Gaithersburg, MD – A 21-year-old Baltimore man was shot and killed inside of a Montgomery County Parking garage early Saturday morning.
On July 8, 2023, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police 3rd District officers were dispatched to Montgomery County Public Parking Garage 3 in the 900 block of Silver Spring Avenue, for the report of a shooting that just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers located Kymani Elijah Bailey on the first level of the garage, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Montgomery County Police Major Crimes detectives responded to the location and are investigating this homicide. Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Bailey was walking inside of the parking garage after leaving a nearby restaurant. An unknown suspect approached Bailey and began shooting.
