Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich’s Weekly Media Briefing Will Focus on Dangerous Heat, New Traffic Safety Campaign for Spanish Speakers

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing on Wednesday, July 26 starting at 12:30 p.m.
This week the County Executive will be discussing the County’s plan for dangerous heat anticipated to arrive by the end of the week. He’ll also talk about using characters from the successful La Abuelina campaign to reach Spanish speakers to encourage the use of new traffic safety measures. The County Executive will be joined by:
- Earl Stoddard, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for Public Safety
- Wade Holland, Vision Zero, Coordinator
The weekly media briefing offers reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 10:30 a.m. the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
