Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich’s Weekly Media Briefing Will Focus on Affordable Housing Gains & LGBTQ+ History Month

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
This week the County Executive will focus on the County’s role in adding hundreds of new affordable housing options for working families over the last 18 months. Additionally, the County Executive will review results from the County’s first-ever LGBTQ+ Community Survey and spotlight LGBTQ+ History Month. This week the County Executive will be joined by:
- Scott Bruton, Director, Department of Housing and Community Affairs
- Carmen Romero, President and CEO at Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing
- Amena Johnson, Community Outreach Manager to LGBTQ+ Community, Community Engagement Cluster
The weekly media briefing offers reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County’s Facebook page. It is also available on County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
