Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich’s Weekly Media Briefing on Wednesday, Jan. 31 Will Focus on Innovation Program & Improving Government

Following his testimony in front of the Maryland Board of Public Works on Wednesday morning in Annapolis, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m.
This week he will focus on efforts made by the County’s Innovation Team to change the government from within. The team, now in its fourth year, leads accelerator workshops that help identify and correct inefficiencies, which helps the government work smarter. Joining County Executive Elrich this week will be:
- Michael Baskin, Chief Innovation Officer
- James Hawkins, leader of the Innovation Accelerator program
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County’s Facebook page and County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
