Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21.
This week the County Executive will focus on Drive Electric Week. The County continues to add electric vehicle charging stations to County-owned garages and encourages more people to join the Electric Vehicle Purchasing Co-op. The County Executive will also discuss Family Involvement Centers and the effort to expand early childhood education services to more families and kids before they reach kindergarten. This week the County Executive will be joined by:
- Brian Booher, senior planning specialist for zero emissions vehicles with the Department of Environmental Protection
- Jennifer Arnáiz, an administrator with early childhood services, a division within the Department of Health and Human Services
The weekly media briefing offers reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at by 10 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County’s Facebook page. It is also available on County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
