For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 3, 2026
Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4.
The County Executive will talk about increased MCPD patrols of religious facilities and gatherings in the wake of war activities in the Middle East, as well as efforts to prevent ICE detention facilities from being opened in Montgomery County. He will also discuss troubling updates regarding federal budget guidance on research grants from the National Institutes of Health.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’[email protected] on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
You can view the media briefing live on the County’s Facebook page and YouTube page. Provided there are no conflicts, you can also watch the briefing on County Cable Montgomery.
