Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.
This week, the County Executive will host members of the Montgomery County Board of Elections, who will provide a recap of the June primary election and explain systems in place to safeguard the Nov. 3 general election. He will react to a new effort to get an ill-advised budget-limiting measure on the ballot, and he will discuss speed limit changes to enhance pedestrian safety.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’connor@montgomerycountymd.gov on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
