Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, in his weekly media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, will be joined by Rep. Jamie Raskin to discuss the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The County Executive will discuss how the County is responding to the extreme heat and how it impacts our Independence Day events. He will react to the recent Supreme Court decisions and discuss their impacts. He’ll also talk about the importance of a new minimum wage in Montgomery County.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should contact Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’connor@montgomerycountymd.gov on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
