Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 16.
This week, the County Executive will react to the deadly shootings that occurred over the past week during immigration enforcement. He will share information about the County’s efforts to help residents deal with the second heat wave this month, and highlight “BTheOne”, a program that asks teenagers to help their peers improve their mental health and help them deal with a crisis.
His guest this week will be:
- Mónica A. Martín, Behavioral Health & Crisis Services chief, Department of Health and Human Services
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o’connor@montgomerycountymd.gov on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
You can view the media briefing live on the County’s Facebook page and YouTube page. Provided there are no conflicts, you can also watch the briefing on County Cable Montgomery.
