Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will join nonprofit housing developer Enterprise Community Development and other community leaders on Thursday to celebrate the grand reopening of Park Montgomery and the opening of Park Montgomery West, a multifamily affordable housing development in the Long Branch neighborhood of Silver Spring along the Purple Line corridor. Â
The Montgomery County Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA) provided $10.6 million in financing for the project, which preserved 141 existing affordable housing units at Park Montgomery, and constructed 76 new affordable units. The development is less than a quarter mile away from the future Piney Branch Station on the Purple Line. Â
