Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by Montgomery County Council President Kate Stewart, Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor, and early childhood education professionals to announce a $10 million investment in several new initiatives aimed at expanding and enhancing early childhood education in Montgomery County.
These initiatives include the expansion of Head Start services to children 0-3 years, along with new programs designed to increase access to high-quality learning and support local child care providers. These efforts are a direct response to a recent study identifying significant gaps in local child care services, particularly for infants and toddlers in underserved communities.Â
