Montgomery County Department of Transportation Ride On Buses Offer Free Fare for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5

For Immediate Release: Friday, November 1, 2024

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is offering free bus fare on County Ride On buses for Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. The free fare will help ensure that anyone who needs a ride to the polls will have one. The free bus fare will be in effect all day for all County buses including Ride On , Ride On extRa , Ride On Flex and Flash .

Residents in need of a ride to the polls can use the Ride On Trip Planner app to find the fastest route and look up real-time bus arrival information.

Residents can find information about their polling place, including location and hours, using the County’s Monty 2.0 chatbot through the online MC311 Customer Service Center. In addition to being available 24/7, Monty can respond in over 100 languages, making it easier for residents to engage with election resources in their preferred language.
