Montgomery County Council to Hold Public Hearings on June 10 and 17, 2025

The County Council will hold public hearings to receive testimony on new items introduced to the Council as follows:
June 10, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
Deadline to sign up to speak is June 9 at 2 p.m.
- Resolution to approve Supplemental Appropriation #25-62 to the FY25 Operating Budget, Montgomery County Government, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, General Personnel and Operating Costs, $15,310,724 (Source of Funds: Undesignated Fire Fund Reserves)
- Resolution to approve Supplemental Appropriation #25-74 to the FY25 Operating Budget, Montgomery County Government, Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, General Personnel and Operating Costs, $6,210,166 (Source of Funds: General Fund Undesignated Reserves)
- Resolution to approve Supplemental Appropriation #25-71 to the FY25 Operating Budget, Montgomery County Government, Department of Transportation Transit Services, $9,200,000 (Source of Funds: Mass Transit Fund Undesignated Reserves)
- Resolution to approve Supplemental Appropriation #25-72 to the FY25 Operating Budget, Montgomery County Government, Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Montgomery Housing Initiative Fund, $6,380,000 (Source of Funds: General Fund Undesignated Reserves)
- Resolution to approve Supplemental Appropriation #25-77 to the FY25 Operating Budget, Montgomery County Government, Snow Removal and Storm Cleanup, Department of Transportation, $18,771,388, and Department of General Services, $5,068,263 (Source of Funds: General Fund Undesignated Reserves)
- Resolution to approve an amendment to the FY25-30 Capital Improvements Program and Supplemental Appropriation #25-83 to the FY25 Capital Budget, Montgomery County Public Schools, Planned Life Cycle Asset Replacement MCPS (No. 896586), $602,651 (Source of Funds: Aging Schools Program)
- Resolution to approve the Creation of Development District and Tax Increment Financing District – White Oak

Deadline to sign up to speak is June 16 at 2 p.m.
Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) 25-07, Retail Sales and Service – Cannabis Dispensary , would specify the setback requirement for a licensed cannabis dispensary, and generally amend the setback requirements for a Retail/Service Establishment.

To testify in-person or remotely during a live public hearing at the Council Office Building, residents need to preregister on the Council’s web page . Residents may also choose to provide pre-recorded testimony in written, audio or video formats or submit testimony by mail.
