Montgomery County Council to Hold Public Hearing on Nov. 18, 2025 – Mocofeed

The County Council will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on a new item introduced to the Council as follows:

Nov. 18, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
Deadline to sign up to speak is Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.

• Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) 25-13, Omnibus – Revisions, Clarifications, and Corrections, would amend the height restrictions for a regional shopping center in the RSC Overlay Zone, place a gross floor area cap on household living in the Employment zones, clarify the gross floor area cap on non-residential uses for Commercial to Residential Reconstruction and the applicable conditional use standards for Townhouse Living, require accessory structure setbacks for limited outdoor storage of items such as vehicles and boats, correct outdated cross-references to expedited approval plans, and generally correct technical, typographical, grammatical, reference, and codification errors in, and make stylistic, clarifying, and conforming amendments to, various provisions of the zoning ordinance.

To testify in-person or remotely during a live public hearing at the Council Office Building, residents need to preregister on the Council’s web page. Residents may also choose to provide pre-recorded testimony in written, audio or video formats or submit testimony by mail.
